Punx of Color 3

Punx of Color 3 was brought to you by Punx of Color NYC a collective of POC Punx in NYC- "The punk scene is arguably the most diverse "scene" there is. Yet inadvertently, walking into the average show, bills aren't reflective of the scene's diversity. Punx of Color (P.O.C.), is an effort to celebrate the scene's diversity all in one place by bringing together bands that include members from across the spectrum of color and identity"

The fest took place on Friday 7/14 at Silent Barn in Bushwick and was a benefit for The Young Center, an organization that supports and advocates for children and young immigrants. With a lineup featuring 7 bands, a wide gamut of punk styles was covered over the course of the night. Check out my photos below and please support the bands, Punx of Color NYC, and all of the folks tirelessly working to make DIY punk a better and more inclusive space for all!
